Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Siliguri to Gangtok
- Pick-up from NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport and drive to Gangtok.
- Orientation walk of MG Marg in the evening.
- Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 2: Gangtok sightseeing
- After a leisurely breakfast, visit to Rumtek Monastery, the largest monastery in Sikkim.
- Visit Tashi view point to get a panoramic view of the Kanchendzonga mountain range. Kanchendzonga is the third highest mountain in the world.
- Visit Ganesh Tok, an important Hindu temple from which you get great view of Gangtok town below.
- Later, visit Enchey Monastery, Do Drul Chorten, Institute of Tibetology and the flower show.
- Spend the evening at leisure.
- Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 3: Gangtok to Lachen
- Drive from Gangtok to Lachen.
- Make a brief stopover at Tashi view point, Phodong monastery and Seven Sister waterfalls on the way to Lachen.
- Evening at leisure.
- Overnight in Lachen.
Day 4: Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake to Lachung
- Start early and drive to Gurudongmar lake. It is a high altitude lake, (about 17,500 ft), and is sacred for Buddhist, Hindus and Sikhs.
- Return to Lachen for lunch followed by the drive to Lachung village.
- Evening at leisure.
- Overnight in Lachung.
Day 5: Lachung to Yumthang Valley to Gangtok
- Start early again, and drive to Yumthang Valley located in the Shingba Rhododendron sanctuary.
- Drive further north to Zero point also known as Yumesodong, close to the Chinese border.
- Later, return to Lachung for lunch and drive back to Gangtok.
- Evening at leisure.
- Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 6 : Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake to Gangtok
- After breakfast, leave for a full day excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir.
- Tsomgo lake is a sacred high altitude lake and is a popular attraction for travellers.
- Baba Mandir is a memorial of a fallen soldier and is revered among the defence personals.
- Drive back to Gangtok. Overnight in Gangtok.
Day 7: Gangtok to Siliguri
- Morning departure transfer to Bagdogra airport or NJP station for your onward connection.
- End of service.
