Tour Itinerary

  • Day 1: Guwahati

    • Arrival at Guwahati airport or the railway station and transfer to the hotel.
    • Time permitting, visit the famous Kamakhya temple dedicated to the Mother Goddess.
    • In the evening, attend the Road Captain’s briefing about the ride and what to expect on the tour.
    • Familiarise yourself with the bikes and take a short ride in the city.
    • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 2: Guwahati to Cherrapunjee

    • Ride to beautiful Cherrapunjee in the Khasi hills. On reaching, explore the sights and sounds of this place.
    • Spend the evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Cherapunjee.

  • Day 3: Cherrapunjee to Shillong

    • Ride back to Shillong.
    • On the way take a detour to visit Asia’s cleanest village, Mawlynnong.
    • Take a short hike to a living root bridge, a bio-engineering marvel.
    • On the way back, also stop at Shillong Peak, the Don Bosco Centre for Indigenous Cultures, and Elephant Falls.
    • Evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Shillong.

  • Day 4: Shillong to Nameri

    • Early morning ride to Nameri National Park.
    • If time permits, go river rafting on the Jia Bhoroli river.
    • Evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Nameri.

  • Day 5: Nameri to Dirang

    • After breakfast, cross the border into Arunachal Pradesh and ride to the small town of Dirang.
    • Enroute, visit the Tipi Orchid Centre that has an amazing variety of orchid species. The ride is very scenic as you start ascending the Kameng valley towards Dirang.
    • Overnight stay at Dirang.

  • Day 6: Dirang to Tawang

    • Post breakfast, set out on an enchanting 8 hours’ ride to Tawang. Ride through the snow-capped Sela Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world .
    • Check in to the hotel at Tawang and spend the evening at leisure.

  • Day 7: Tawang Sightseeing

    • Visit the Tawang monastery, the second biggest monastery in the world, which houses about 500 monks
    • Choose from the option of riding up to the beautiful glacial lake known as P.T.Tso lake before returning to Tawang.
    • Another option is to a day ride to the Mompa village of Zemithang.
    • Overnight stay at Tawang.

  • Day 8: Tawang to Bomdila

    • Ride back down to the small town of Bomdila. On the way, make a brief halt at the war memorial known as Jaswantgarh.
    • On reaching Bomdila, visit the monastery or the crafts centre.
    • Spend the evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Bomdila.

  • Day 9: Bomdila to Nameri

    • Ride back to Nameri.
    • On reaching Nameri, go for a walk to the nearby villages or spend the time to relax.
    • Overnight at Nameri.

  • Day 10:  Nameri to Jorhat

    • Opt for an early morning jungle walk inside the Nameri national Park.
    • After breakfast, journey towards the tea town of Jorhat.
    • With availability and time permitting, learn about the tea manufacturing process and get a chance to try a wide variety of Assam tea.
    • Overnight stay at Jorhat.

  • Day 11: Jorhat to Mon

    • Ride to the small town of Mon. Meet the locals and go for a walk through the town.
    • Evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Mon.

  • Day 12: Mon to Longwa

    • Ride to Longwa village in the morning, which lies on the Indo-Myanmar border and is one of the largest Konyak villages in the area. Meet the chief, known as Angh, and learn more about their culture. Take a walk in the village with the local headman and enjoy a traditional meal. You could also walk up to a viewpoint that gives panoramic views of the area.
    • Return to Mon and spend the evening at leisure.

  • Day 13:  Mon to Mokokchung

    • Take the road less travelled to Mokokchung. On the way, stop at some villages along the way to understand their culture and meet the locals. Be ready for off-roading as the roads are under construction.
    • Spend the evening to relax or to explore the town.
    • Overnight stay at Mokokchung.

  • Day 14: Mokokchung to Kohima

    • Early morning ride to the capital of Nagaland, the beautiful hillside town of Kohima. The road is a mix of off-road and well laid tarmac. Along the way cross the beautiful Doyang lake, a nice place to take some selfies.
    • Overnight stay at Kohima.

  • Day 15:  Kohima

    • Have breakfast at leisure. Head out to explore the town. Visit the World War II cemetery located on Garrison Hil
    • Ride out of town to explore the green village of Khonoma. Explore the village and learn about farming, their history and preservation of nature.
    • Return to Kohima. Overnight stay at Kohima.

  • Day 16: Kohima to Kaziranga

    • Post breakfast ride to the World Heritage site of Kaziranga National Park via the town of Dimapur. The road in the Nagaland section is under construction, so be prepared for some off-roading but once we cross the border and enter Assam, the roads improve considerably.
    • Spend the evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  • Day 17: Kaziranga

    • Kaziranga National Park has three ranges, Bagori, Kohora and Agoratoli. Take a jeep safari through one of the ranges in the morning and explore another range on a jeep in the afternoo
    • Spend evening at leisure.
    • Overnight stay at Kaziranga.

  • Day 18: Kaziranga to Guwahati

    • Post breakfast, start on the last stretch to Guwahati.
    • Arrival at Guwahati, check-in to the hotel and celebrate the journey together.
    • Overnight stay in Guwahati.

  • Day 19: Departure: Guwahati

    Drop at Guwahati airport or railway station. End of tour.
